Senior Software Development Engineer (Israel)
Job Description:
As a Senior Software Development Engineer at Memcyco, you will take a major role in designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud-based cybersecurity platform. You will work closely with security experts, data scientists, product managers, and QA teams to deliver advanced cyber detection, protection, and monitoring capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Development
Design and implement major features and new capabilities end-to-end
Contribute to architecture decisions and system design
Build scalable and reliable cloud-based services
Engineering Excellence
Lead the design of new components and services
Ensure reliability, maintainability, performance, and scalability
Continuously improve and refactor existing systems
Collaboration
Work closely with development teams, security researchers, product managers, and QA
Translate business and security requirements into robust technical solutions
Required Experience and Qualifications
Programming
At least 5 years strong experience with Java, preferably latest versions
At least 5 years experience building backend services using Spring Boot
At least 3 years frontend development experience with React
Experience
At least 5 years of experience as a full-stack developer
Experience building and maintaining high-scale production systems on AWS
Data & Infrastructure
Experience with relational and non-relational databases
Experience working with real-time or near real-time data pipelines (e.g., Kafka)
Experience with big-data processing and large-scale systems based on microservices architecture
Cloud & Containers
Hands-on experience with Docker, containers, and Kubernetes
Experience building and operating services in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
Security
Good understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure development practices
AI Development Tools
Experience using modern AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar
Soft Skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong problem-solving ability
A proactive “Can-Do” attitude and ownership mindset
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Experience building security or threat intelligence systems
